Thanks Annemarie, I knew it was a Fucus but they are very difficult to tell apart I think. Didnt know that they can do hybrids, interesting, would explain my confusion too 😉 Its growing really well but also under pressure by hungry snails. Thanks again

its Fucus (of some variety possibly a hybrid since they do this). Looks like F. spiralis (spiralled wrack) but could be a hybrid
